I want to know the usual costs of box springs and mattresses when sold separtly.
Well, I was thinking of getting a platform bed though which would mean I wouldnt need a box spring(If i’m correct)… So that’s why I wanted the individual cost. Queen size.

The wooden slats on my platform bed broke so I brought another set. The ones I brought kept sliding off so now I just want to get rid of them. Please help me if you know how.

It would be too high with a box spring, but some people say the mattress will wear out sooner without a box spring. Is that true? The platform bed has storage drawers underneath, and seems more useful than a box spring on a frame. Does anyone have experience with this situation?
We are building the platform with the storage, ourselves, because we couldn’t find one to buy!

Tiana asked: I bought my bedroom set no more than 4 years ago for about $4000-$5000 and now I want to sell it.
The entire collection is really unique & made of beautiful solid oak and includes:
*HEADBOARD (massive - about 8′ tall, 10′ long) with drawers & panel mirrors above the bed, plus drawers & bookcases on both sides.
*QUEEN SIZE box spring waterbed mattress (it unzips & has about 10 water tubes inside).
*DRESSER (6-drawers plus a “door” in the middle which has a cubby hole space & another drawer) & MIRROR (3 panels- the 2 side panels also open & have shelves inside).
*TALL CHEST (6 drawers & another “door” which has 2 shelves).
The whole set is in perfect condition*
** ps it doesn’t come with nightstands because they are built into the headboard. The headboard also has a row of lights above and below the mirror

cookies_n_cream0218 asked: I love the look of a platform bed and i am considering purchasing one in the next few weeks. But I am worried that this bed will end up making me **** it.
My bed already is just a box spring and a mattress on the floor and to be honest I LOVE IT ( box spring broke about a year ago so I had to ditch the plain frame), but I am scared like the mattress will slide on the platform. I am a wild sleeper and I know you dont want to hear this but you know what else goes on in a bed…I do not want the mattress and us to end up on the floor.
So does anyone have any experience with one?

I was thinking about buying a new mattress for my bed, but I was wondering if I should replace the box spring as well. Do box springs get damaged over time like mattresses do?
